The new building in Ghent (B) surpasses the grandeur of yesteryear; in the design, simplicity and technical ingenuity go hand in hand. The result? A sustainable base where flexibility and comfort are central, based on a successful architectural concept that perfectly illustrates Securex's future-oriented vision.


Seeking more space, comfort, and energy efficiency, the renowned HR company chose the most logical solution: demolish the existing headquarters and replace it with a state-of-the-art new building. For ARCH & TECO, however, this was not a free pass to design just any concept. "On the contrary: we wanted to design an office complex that integrates into the historical, modernist context of the Watersportbaan and connects with the urban fabric of the area," explain the architects. "Modularity, flexibility, and sustainability were important points of attention, both architecturally and structurally and technically."


The Torro flagstones connect the indoor and outdoor spaces, linking different functions in a wholly organic way.
