Residential Project by IO Architecten

This refined residential project by IO Architecten is a celebration of natural materials, landscape integration and architectural precision. Architecture, planting and material choices are carefully aligned to create a serene, tactile living environment. STONE NV supplied both Brazilian Flamingo quartzite and Multicolor Verona terrazzo for this project.

The Flamingo quartzite is used for outdoor paving and terraces. Its warm pink, sand and earth tones blend seamlessly with the brick architecture and lush garden design. Beyond its visual appeal, this natural stone offers outstanding durability and weather resistance, making it ideal for exterior applications.

Inside the project, Multicolor Verona terrazzo adds depth and craftsmanship. The terrazzo’s nuanced colour palette and textured surface enhance the architectural language and establish a strong connection between interior and exterior spaces.

Stairs, seating elements, level changes and circulation areas are designed as a unified architectural landscape. This project demonstrates how natural stone and terrazzo can shape spatial identity rather than serve as mere finishes.
